I’ve been waiting for a while to find the time to reorganise my workshop at home and last week I finally found that time. And look how lovely it is!!
I still have a little jigging to do because I want to find another way to store my spools of thread. The blue jar, beautiful as it is, is not especially practical! So, it’s something I need to figure out, but I love that everything else is to hand, and also looks pretty nice.
I also found a space for a beautiful clock that The Belgian was given as a present. It’s absolutely gorgeous and is just perfect here!
The reason I was so eager to finish the workshop quickly is things are about to change again Chez Moi et Le Belge. I was offered a position working in a completely different sector than I’ve been working towards for the last while. It’s going to change everything in our house and with my life now, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to manage my time to keep things ticking over here on Bazaar and keep building towards having my own little workshop and shop. I’m very anxious to make it all work out but I’ll be working hard on keeping those dreams alive and will need lots of encouragement from you out there!!
Last weekend we took advantage of a generous wedding present of a night on a gite in Walloonia. It was on the working farm of friends of The Belgian and it was absolutely incredible (they don’t have their own website but you can check out the farm here). I’ve been on so many farms in Ireland and other countries, but the last time I felt so engrossed in the working of a farm I was about 3 feet smaller and 20 years younger! Owner Jacques was happy for us to traipse around after him when we arrived late at night and for the whole of the following morning. It was just wonderful! I absolutely recommend it for taking some time out to cuddle kittens, baby rabbits and hunt for eggs.
